Participation of the French ABK Group to PAP FOR 2008

The 10th edition of PAP FOR exhibition which took place in St Petersburg last November 2008 proved to be a very good opportunity to boost cooperation between Russian paper mills and the French paper machinery supplier ABK Group.
Now seen as one of the major exhibitions dedicated to the paper industry, with nearly 4500 attendees and more than 300 exhibiting companies, the PAP FOR Russia has been clearly considered by ABK as a springboard to enter the Russian market and the ideal place to meet potential customers and to have a thorough knowledge of their problems and expectations.

During 4 days of meetings and discussions, ABK has been focused on providing a serious and technical expertise as well as adapted solutions to paper mills who expressed a real interest for ABK high technology equipments such as :

  • hydraulic head box with dilution system;
  • soft calender;
  • press section with shoe press;
  • coating equipments like film press;
  • heat recovery system for drying section;
  • reconstituted tobacco machine;
  • spider solution for existing head box in replacement of the traditional manifold so that the CD profile is improved;
  • non-woven machines, etc.

Established since 1952, ABK Group is able to demonstrate a strong expertise in the design and manufacturing of equipments for paper and board production, and can present an abundant list of references and achievements all around the world which includes several new machines and major rebuilds erected, commissioned and started successfully for a wide variety of paper and board grades, including speciality paper machines for decorative paper, reconstituted tobacco, cigarette paper as well as security paper.

But the strength of the ABK Group not only rely on technical offers but in the possibility to approach its customers in a context of economic recession and financial constraints with reliable and attractive solutions for financing their investments through French and first prime banks.
