FOURDRINIER TABLES
OBJECTIVES

Fourdriniers have to achieve two quite distinct roles simultaneously:

  1. To maintain and if possible improve the sheet formation brought by the headbox (fiber distribution).
  2. According to a very precise and requirement-fitting adjustable drainage curve, to eliminate a maximum of white water, to obtain at the wire end a sheet of highest possible dryness.

The development of modem fourdriniers is characterized by:
  1. The choice of the used corrosion resistant construction materials.
  2. The special design of the support frame which bears the whole of the machine components for an easy machine wire mounting.
  3. The extensive number of drainage elements:
    • forming board
    • table rolls
    • foils
    • hydrofoils
    • vacufoils
    • suction boxes.
  4. The careful selection of all wire run ancillaries.
  5. The need of providing a well dimensioned, modern and performing vacuum system (energy consumption).
  6. The frequent adjunction of a steam injector.
IMPORTANT COMPONENTS
FRAME STRUCTURE

"CANTILEVER" or "C" frames

Box type beams, rails, crossties, footings, supports, levers are made of stainless steel clad fabricated steel or of solid stainless steel.

Removable blocks are cast in light alloy with handles.
DRAINAGE COMPONENT

TABLE ROLLS with suitable diameter and cover.

FORMING BOARD plain or in several elements

FOILS of two types

  1. HYDROFOILS
  2. VACUFOILS

STEAM BOX

Made of stainless steel.

Possibility of compartment walls for cross machine humidity profile control.

Steam supply: 2-4 Bars
(28 to 56 psi).
SHAKE / BLADES
  • Single or double connection. Stroke and frequency independently adjustable
  • Thick spring blades made of synthetic material.
WET BROKE DESINTEGRATOR
  • Stainless steel cross-shaft.
  • Desintegrating vanes and arms made of cast iron or stainless steel.

GANGWAYS

  • Specially designed for easy access. Made of light alloy, embossed and perforated anti-slip tread plates with foot
WIRE RUN
BREAST ROLL

WIRE TURNING ROLL

  • (drive roll) with special 20 mm thick cover Jackscrew actuated swing motion

SUCTION COUCH ROLL

  • one or two compartments with side deckles. Bronze or stainless steel shell, possibly rubber or polyurethan covered. The couch roll can be fitted with a soft cover lumpbreaker roll, felted or not.

WIRE ROLLS

  • Steel tube with synthetic cover
  • Cold shrunk journals
  • Stainless steel doctors with bronze blade holder HDPE blades.

GUIDES & STRETCHERS

  • Automatic air operated guide with palm
  • Hand operated screw type stretchers or pneumatic stretchers with air bellows and cross-shaft.

SHOWERS

  • Heavy brass or stainless steel pipe, with inside cleaning brushes, needle or fan jets with possible oscillation.
