WHY DON'T YOU TRY ?
The purchase of a calender stack is always an important stage in the life of a paper mill.

Before making such an investment, it is important to get a precise idea of the mechanical characteristics of the paper which will be produced, according to the hardness and quality of the roll covers, the pressure, the temperature and the operating speed. In order to offer to his customers the possibility to determine the optimum working conditions and to carry out various tests, ABK Machinery puts a pilot calender stack at their disposal.

This calender stack enables to test paper rolls of 70 cm diameter and
28 cm usable width.
The following parameters can be adjusted according to the needs:
  • Pressure: 0 to 200 daN/cml
  • Speed: 0 to 950 m/mn
  • Temperature: up to 180° C
  • Covers: there are 6 available types of cover which cover a wide range of utilizations, with different hardnesses and chemical compositions. Thanks to this pilot machine, it is possible to test successively 3 cover types without being obliged to dismantle the rolls. A laboratory close to the pilot station enables to carry out immediately the main measures : softness, bulk, gloss, etc...
